Hawkeye Pricing

Find the Prophet 21 prices that fell behind your costs.

Hawkeye is pricing software for distributors with thousands of products. Every night its AI agents read P21 and find the customer prices worth raising. Each one comes with the reason written out.

You approve the ones you agree with, and Hawkeye writes them back to P21.

Costs move every month. Price pages don’t.

A single vendor increase can touch tens of thousands of lines. Most P21 distributors handle it in Excel, then import the file back into P21. The customer price pages set years ago for one account stay where they are, because nobody has time to open them.

Hawkeye checks every product for every customer, every night, and tells you which prices to change and why.

The same item, fifteen prices

Customer price pages pile up. One distributor we talked to sells the same pen at fifteen different prices, some set for an account decades ago. Each one made sense when it was set.

Hawkeye lines up every customer’s price for an item side by side, against what it costs you today, and flags the ones that fell furthest behind.

The Hawkeye Cockpit: a list of price changes, each with the reason, the old and new price, and the margin gained

Every change comes with the reason.

Each change says what happened, like a heater element whose cost went from $5.38 to $6.13 in March while the price never moved. Margin fell from 38% to 29%. It shows the new price, the margin at that price, and what the change is worth in a year.

What we find in the invoices

  • 1 in 4customer prices hadn’t moved in 12 months
  • 4.6 ptsmedian margin lost where cost rose under a flat price
  • $153Ka year in added margin, estimated, from one customer’s approved changes
“Hawkeye shows us the specific parts where costs have outrun our prices, and why. We approved 60 changes in one meeting, and they were in our ERP the next day.”

How it works with P21

  1. Connect. Hawkeye connects to P21 read-only and pulls your price pages, costs by location, invoices and orders. Nothing gets written until you sign off on the guardrails.
  2. Find. Every night the agents look for a cost that moved under a price that didn’t, a customer still paying a price set months ago, and customers paying different prices for the same product.
  3. Approve. You approve the changes you agree with. Hawkeye writes them to P21 that night and tracks every sale at the new price.

Questions about Hawkeye and P21

Does Hawkeye work with Epicor Prophet 21?

Yes. Hawkeye reads your data from P21 and writes approved prices back to it.

What does Hawkeye read from P21?

Your price pages and customer price libraries, item costs by location, invoices and orders. It builds a baseline for every product and every customer before it suggests a single change.

Isn't the P21 pricing module enough?

P21 is good at storing prices and applying them on an order. It doesn't tell you which of your thousands of customer prices to change, or why. That is the part Hawkeye does.

We update prices in Excel and import them into P21. What changes?

The agents do the hunting, so nobody has to build the spreadsheet. You get a short list of changes with the reason for each, you approve the ones you agree with, and Hawkeye writes them to P21.
