Zilliant vs. Hawkeye Pricing

Zilliant is built around tables and reports that a pricing team uses to analyze prices and make recommendations. Its customers are mostly large B2B companies, many on SAP and Salesforce.

Hawkeye’s AI agents do that work for you. Every night they read your ERP, find the prices worth changing, and write out the reason for each one. You approve the ones you agree with, and they go back into the ERP.

Zilliant gives a pricing team more to analyze. Hawkeye gives your team a short list of decisions. If you have thousands of SKUs and an overworked pricing team, or none at all, that difference is the whole job.

Zilliant pros and cons

Pros

  • One vendor for price optimization, price lists, agreements and quoting.
  • Deep SAP and Salesforce integrations.
  • Scenario modeling for pricing teams that want to test changes before they go live.

Cons

  • Built for a pricing team to run. The software produces analysis. People still have to turn it into price changes.
  • No published pricing. One review site puts typical deals at $60,000 to $150,000+ a year, plus $75,000 to $250,000 to implement.
  • Reviewers describe implementation as long and complex, often several months with IT involved.
  • Integrations center on SAP, Oracle and Salesforce. Reviewers say other CRMs are harder.
  • Its starter product for smaller companies, Pricing Plus, connected only through CSV files at launch.

Why distributors pick Hawkeye over Zilliant

  • The agents do the analysis. Your team gets the price changes and the reason for each one.
  • Every SKU and every customer gets checked every night, not once a year.
  • Approved prices are in your ERP the next day. A packaging equipment maker approved 60 in one meeting.
  • You see results on your own invoices before you buy anything.
  • You pay on margin added, not for a license.

When to look for a Zilliant alternative

  • Costs move every month and your prices move once a year.
  • You have thousands of SKUs and an overworked pricing team, or none at all.
  • You’ve tried across-the-board increases and can’t tell which ones stuck.
  • You run Epicor, Infor, NetSuite, SAP or Abas.
  • You don’t want a months-long software project to find out if it works.
